Typical lounge chairs want 18–22″ squares; sofas often look better with a mix of squares and a longer lumbar. Enter exact width and height. We fill throw pillows plush (about 8″ loft on a knife-edge) so they hold shape outdoors instead of going flat after one season.

The fastest way to make a patio set look finished is matching toss pillows. Pick the cushion fabric — or a contrast from the same collection — and we sew both in Griffin. Solution-dyed acrylic shrugs off sun and splash; covers are not meant for the washing machine.

Knife-edge is the classic toss look. Add welting if you want a outlined hotel-style pillow. Outdoor fill is a polyester cluster that sheds water better than a cheap poly insert from a big-box bag.
